Holiday tables get set in a hurry. The food takes the whole morning, the guests arrive early, and the decorations are the part that gets rushed. We print a seasonal run for each of the dates people actually host, so the cover, the napkins and the small decor pieces come out of one box and go straight onto the table.

The plastic we use is the same across the seasonal range, which matters more than it sounds: a spill at Thanksgiving wipes off the same way a spill at a summer cookout does, and the cover goes in the bin at the end instead of into a wash cycle.

One table, several dates

Most households run the same table through the whole calendar. That is why we keep every seasonal print in the same cuts: if a 54 x 108 inch cover fits your table at Easter, the Halloween and Christmas versions will fit it too. Buy the size once, then change only the print. It saves the yearly guess at the tape measure and it saves a return.

Outdoor dates need weight, indoor dates need color

Independence Day and Memorial Day are usually outdoor events, so the cover has to stay put in wind. Clip it at the corners or set a dish on each end. Indoor dates such as Thanksgiving and Christmas are the opposite problem: the table is the only decoration the room gets, so the color has to carry the whole setting. Small decor that stores flat

Seasonal decorations are only worth keeping if they store flat. Banners, runners and sticker sheets roll into a drawer and come out a year later without a crease that shows in photos. Anything rigid gets crushed in a storage box between seasons, which is why we keep the seasonal range to flat goods.

Are these decorations suitable for indoor and outdoor parties?

Yes. The covers are waterproof plastic and wipe clean, so they hold up at a backyard cookout as well as an indoor dinner. Outdoors, weigh the corners down, because a light plastic cover lifts in a steady breeze.

Do the seasonal prints come in the same sizes?

The rectangle covers share one set of finished sizes across seasons, and the round covers share another. Measure your table once and the same size will carry you through the year.

Which seasonal pieces should I buy first?

Start with the cover for the table the food sits on, because it is the one piece every guest at the party looks at. Napkins come second, since they are the item people hold. If you would rather not decide piece by piece, the seasonal party supplies here are printed to one color run per date, so a cover and a napkin pack bought together will match without any checking. Plates and the smaller decorations are worth adding once you know how many guests are coming.
