MASHAN party napkins

Printed paper napkins in a square dessert fold and a longer rectangle fold, counted in packs that match a real guest list.

Party Napkins from MASHAN

Napkins are the item hosts under-buy. The rule of thumb that holds up is three per guest for a seated meal and two per guest for a standing event, and then a spare pack, because the one thing a party never has enough of at eleven at night is napkins.

We print them in two folds on purpose. The square fold suits dessert, cocktails and a cake table. The rectangle fold is longer and is what you want beside a plate at a seated dinner.

How many napkins a party actually needs

Count the guests, then add half again

For forty guests at a seated meal, a hundred and twenty napkins is the working number, and a hundred and fifty is the comfortable one. Our packs are counted in hundreds for that reason. Leftovers keep indefinitely in a dry cupboard, which is not true of much else on a party table.

Square for dessert, rectangle for dinner

A square cocktail napkin sits under a glass or a slice of cake without hanging over the edge of a side plate. A rectangle napkin unfolds across a lap. Using both at one event also marks the two stations for guests without a single sign.

Print placement matters on a fold

A napkin is seen folded, not flat. We set the artwork so the message reads on the visible quarter when the napkin is folded the way it ships. It sounds small until you open a pack where the print lands on the hidden face.

Questions we get asked

How many napkins come in a pack?

Most of our packs are counted in fifties and hundreds. The exact count is on each product page, next to the finished folded size.

Are the napkins two-ply?

Ply and finished size are listed per product. The grad and seasonal runs are printed on a heavier stock than the plain colors, because printed napkins get handled more.

How many napkins does a party actually get through?

Plan two a guest for a dinner service and three if there is cake and drinks running all evening. Napkins are the cheapest party supplies on the table and the ones people take without thinking, so a pack more than the arithmetic says is rarely wasted — you would rather carry a few home than send someone to the kitchen for paper towel.
